PlusGuidance, a web-based platform dedicated to therapists, has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube to raise £100,000 as it continues to expand and develop its website.
The website connects therapists with those in need of support no matter their location. Users choose from a pool of therapists (in all types of specialties) to have online sessions by video or messaging without having to step into an officer. All sessions, bookings, payments, and even in-person appointments are done securely through the PlusGuidance website. The plans range from £25 to£50.
“PlusGuidance has hosted thousands of sessions, with over 1000 therapists signed up to the platform so far and over a hundred therapists to choose from at time of writing.”
The PlusGuidance team revealed they had generated an average 58% month-to-month revenue growth since November 2015. They also reported that more than 20% of users have over six sessions, with some even having more than 25 sessions. Since its launch, the company has had several achievements, including Tech4Good finalist in the BT Ingenious Awards; Web Summit 2015 Alpha Startup selected, and has been dubbed “Best Health Business 2015 by Angels Den. It also raised £135,000 from Angels Den and is pre-valued at £1.5 million.
Funds from the campaign will be used for product (technical team and software costs), marketing (SEO/digital marketing and business development, operations (business administration, legal, account, and professional fees). The company also noted:
“We’ve previously raised £415,000 with increasing valuations, which has helped us build a fully functioning and original telehealth platform, achieve gold standard data privacy and security status (HIPAA and HITECH), and build a loyal customer base.”
The campaign is set to close at the end of September.
