Brief: PledgeMe Launches New Feature “PledgeMe.Friends”

PledgeMe

On Tuesday, CEO of New Zealand crowdfunding platform PledgeMe, Anna Guenther, introduced a new feature called “PledgeMe.Friends,” which will offer a nice “bonus” for those who inspire companies to use its website. The funding portal first introduced the PledgeMe.Friends concept while updating users on its yearly progress earlier this month and stated:

Anna Guenther“We think there’s really nothing more powerful than our own crowd. You’ve shown us time and again that you back us: when we ate our own dog food, when we made a magazine, when we wanted a new board member, and when you all decided I seriously needed a holiday.”

The first person to “shoulder tap” a company to run a campaign, and they successfully fund, PledgeMe will give $500 success fee which will either go directly to the person or pledged towards the campaign for them. The initiative needs to meet its goal by deadline, and also raise more than $50,000. Here’s how it works:

  • Fill out this form (or email PledgeMe on contact@pledgeme.co.nz)
  • If you’re the first person to recommend that company, the PledgeMe team will get in touch and ask for an intro (if you can do it)
  • The more details about how the platform can help the better
  • You could even help them get to their goal – support, share their campaign, be their cheerleader (with benefits).

Have a crowdfunding offering you'd like to share? Submit an offering for consideration using our Submit a Tip form and we may share it on our site!
