Below is a report that was forwarded to Crowdfund Insider a few weeks back outlining the crowdfunding market in Taiwan. As we published recently, investment crowdfunding has been slow to take off but rewards based crowdfunding has apparently generated decent traction. If the regulators get it right, a strong rewards ecosystem may morph into a vibrant investment environment.
According to CrowdWatch, a group that focuses on crowdfunding industry in Taiwan and the authors of this report, their country has the highest density of crowdfunding platforms and crowdfunding participation rate in the world. Taiwan is also the number one country in Asia with the most crowdfunding projects and highest amount raised per capita.
