On Wednesday, reward-based crowdfunding portal Crowdfunder UK announced some of Britain and Ireland’s entrepreneurs gathered in London celebrate the nations’ business creativity with Virgin Media Business VOOM 2016.
As previously reported, Virgin Media Business launched its search for the most innovative and exciting businesses with the UK and Ireland’s pitch competition called VOOM 2016. The competition gives entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses the opportunity to pitch their ideas to Sir Richard Branson and win a prize fund worth over £1million.
Branson, Virgin Group Founder, recently commented:

The funding platform revealed that with more than 600,000 UK start-ups created in the last year alone, Virgin Media Business VOOM 2016 offers British and Irish entrepreneurs the chance to win a share of £1 million (€1.2 million) in prizes.
Branson stated:

Winners of the crowdfunding portion of the contest will receive the following:
- an additional £50K cash on top of funding
- a marketing and media support campaign
- a ticket to the VOOM 2016 final
