Brief: Funding Circle Dedicates Entire Floor of Its London Office to Startups & Small Businesses

Funding Circle, a peer-to-peer (P2P) lending platform, announced this week that it has dedicated an entire floor of its London office to startups and small businesses. This news comes nearly six months after the company moved into 71 Queen Victoria Street in Mansion House.

Funding Circle Founders UKDuring an interview with Business Insider, Funding Circle’s chief operating officer in the UK, Pam Burton, stated:

“We took more psace than we needed so that we could grow into it over the next few years, but in the meantime we’re really excited to offer desks to startups and small businesses at a reduced market rate. We know what it’s like to be small and entrepreneurial, and we hope that access to central London and the city will mean other firms have the opportunity to flourish.”

Funding Circle will reportedly charge around 499 per desk a month for small businesses. A spokeswoman of the company commented that its pricing is slightly less than a desk in the city, which is around 600-650 per desk per month. Those that move into the office will notably have access to WiFi as well a bike storage, ping pong and even showers. Just 400 desks available on the floor.

The desks can be booked through property marketplace Hubble
