Brief: Kickstarter Announces Funded Projects that Received 58th Annual Grammy Awards Nominations

With the 58th annual Grammy Awards set to be held at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California this upcoming Monday, Kickstarter announced the nominees that were funded through its crowdfunding platform.

The Kickstarter team shared:

Kickstarter 3“On Kickstarter, we see Music projects for everything from just-starting-out demos to new works by chart-topping, award-winning musicians and industry veterans. And as The New York Times recently noted, a number of these talented creators have earned Grammy nominations for their work, among them Darcy James ArgueThe Smith Tapes, and Lee “Scratch” Perry. We’ve also had the pleasure of toasting four Kickstarter-funded works that took home golden gramophones: Roomful of Teeth‘s debut, Mike Farris’s Shine for the People, Jo-EL Sonnier’s The Legacy, and the first studio recording by the Pacific Mambo Orchestra.”
