Beverage Distributor Crafters & Co Seeks $1M on PledgeMe For Business Expansion

Wellington-based craft beverage distributor and bottle store, Crafters & Co. is looking to raise up to $1 million to expand its business with an equity crowdfunding campaign launched on PledgeMe today.

Crafters & Co’s CEO Hadleigh Petherick stated the soon-to-be expansion will help take suppliers to the next level:

Cafters & Co“A successful raise for us means our suppliers will be able to concentrate on what they do best, making awesome craft products, while we concentrate on promotion, distribution and sales. Crafters & Co’s solid platform and success over the past two years has already shown what we’re capable of, and with the support of our crowd we’re looking to take the company national.Our growth will come developing an efficient online ordering systems and increasing our sales staff so we can concentrate on moving volume for our suppliers. The online side of the business is limitless.”

Crafters & Co. is looking to raise a minimum of $400,000 up to $1,000,000 which is between 16.7% and 33.3% of the company. Petherick explained:

“I want every Kiwi to have the opportunity to own a part of this growing industry. Last year the craft beer industry saw growth in craft beer sales of over 40%, and I think that the trend is going to continue as New Zealand gains recognition around the world for its hops, craft brewers ingenuity and extraordinary beers.”

Since its founding in 2015, Crafters & Co. has seen turnover increase by 10% each month. Petherick shared:

Crafters & Co“Now that we’re providing distribution for over 11 craft brewers, NZ’s 2015 Brewers Guild Champion Cider, 10 vineyards, and over 20 spirits brands we have an attractive trade offering, buying power to scale our purchasing, and can offer our customers the very best prices. By focusing on making it easier for existing customers to purchase, and ramping up our customer acquisition through sales we forecast significant growth over the next year.”
