Epicured Market Launches on SeedUps: Grocery and Meal Planning Service Finds an Easy Way to Eat Well, Conveniently and Healthful

epicured marketAfter being diagnosed with several medical conditions, Epicured Market Founder and President Jillian Bowman discovered the challenge of eating well, finding the correct ingredients for delicious recipes and preparing meals.  She searched for recipes and meal plans for hours every day, then spent just as long trying to find all the specialty ingredients.

Jillian-Bowman“After a few weeks of that madness, I figured there MUST be an all-in-one solution to meal planning, grocery shopping, recipes and education that I could tailor to my specific dietary restrictions and save myself 5 hours/week. I scoured the internet, but came up empty.  So, I took matters into my own hands and set out to create Epicured Market,” shares Bowman on Epicured Market.

epicured marketEnter Epicured Market, an online grocery and meal planning service for people with dietary restrictions now crowdfunding on SeedUps.  For those who don’t have four hours every week to go grocery shopping and arrange meal planning, Epicured offers  solution.  Consumers can a select a six week meal plan, using product filters to restrict particular ingredients from the over 6,000+ natural and non-GMO products.

epicured marketBowman targets a variety of consumers with the online service, revealing startling facts along the way.    Digestive health conditions affect 57% of Canadians, that’s 20 million people, and according to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 90% of Canadians have at least one risk factor for heart disease and stroke. “What’s scarier is that less than 20% of us follow doctor’s orders to change our lifestyles and the way we eat in order to reduce our risks and heal our bodies,” comments Bowman.

Prior to founding Epicured Markets, Bowman was the owner, brand strategist and chief social impact instigator at Hijinx Strategies, an agency dedicated to helping corporations profit with purpose and aiding non-profit organizations find increased support for their cause.

epicured marketsReaders certainly have noted the trendsetting importance of eating healthful, buying and eating local foods while reaping the health benefits of these choices, and crowdfunding campaigns have not been immune to this trend.  Whether funding The Food Cure film on Kickstarter, Tossed Healthy’s Seedrs campaign, Filmore  & Union’s recent Crowdcube campaign, last year’s PUR WiSeed campaign or the platform Barnraiser, crowdfunding has clearly proven to be a viable option for such campaigns.
