CoolMiniOrNot Talks Kickstarter Success “Zombicide: Black Plague’s” Presence at Gaming Convention GenCon

Zombicide- Black Plague 6

Taking time away from the production of  Zombicide: Black Plague the team at game developing studio CoolMiniOrNot shared details about the Kickstarter-success’ experience at GenCon in Indiana this past weekend.

Zombicide- Black Plague 2Zombicide: Black Plague is described as a standalone cooperative boardgame for 1 to 6 players that brings the relentless zombie-killing action of Zombicide into a brand new fantasy setting. It has new survivors, new zombies, new equipment, and revamped rules.

Much like the original game, each survivor in Zombicide: Black Plague receives a quality plastic dashboard to keep them organized. A built-in sliding arrow tracks experience gains and plastic pegs mark wounds and indicate new skills. Finally, multiple slots hold all your cards, making the new inventory system intuitive and structured.

The creators previously revealed:

Zombicide- Black Plague 5“Players control a party of survivors as they fight to rid the land of an invasion of zombies controlled by the game itself. Survivors find weapons, learn spells, battle zombies, and gain experience. The more experienced they get, the more powerful they become, but the more zombies rise to face them!”

During a recent update, the CoolMiniorNot crew stated:

Zombicide Black Plague“Well, we have survived GenCon ourselves, and Zombicide: Black Plague was a big hit there! Many attendees had a chance to play a quick game in our prototype set, and the feedback was very positive. People were able to check out the final production plastic miniatures, and the detail really astounded them. For the first time ever, people were also playing on the final plastic dashboards, and we’re happy to say that it worked like a charm! We took our time going back and forth with the factory to make sure everything’s right, including the experience tracker properly “clicking’ from number to number, and it’s good to see that effort [paid] off.”

Gen Con is considered the original, longest-running, best-attended, gaming convention in the world. The event features hundreds of game companies, award-winning authors and artists, costumed attendees, more than 15,000 events, a Family Fun Pavilion, and the debut of exciting new games.
The game is set to deliver to backers in December 2015.
