Creators of The Stomping Land Kickstarter Leave Backers in Limbo As Art Lead Bails & Developer Stops Responding

The Stomping 2GameSpot recently announced that Kickstarter-success The Stomping Land is now in a limbo state due to its art lead quitting and its creator no longer responding to emails from concerned backers. Back in June 2013, the multiplayer dinosaur-survival game took to the crowdfunding giant seeking only $20,000. Within the course of the campaign, the project raised $114,000 from 4,400 backers.

Despite the fact that a year later the first build of the project surfaced on Steam Early Access, lead developer Alex Fundora stated that the development is still in full force even though the game is currently available.

Unfortunately, that was the last time that anyone has heard from Fundora and now the lead artist has announced his resignation from the project, claiming that he has not been in contact with Fundora in weeks.

In-game model designer, Vlad Konstantino shared on The Stomping Land forum, “More than a month ahs passed since the day when I received the last reply from Fundora. I’ve sent him five messages and haven’t got any single reply.”

FailKonstantino also noted that Fundora still owes him money and that if the silence does continue he will stop his participation with the The Stomping Land project and start taking the necessary measure to cover his expenses. PC Gamer has revealed that since his explanation on the forum, Konstantino has started working on a different project entirely.

Meanwhile more and more backers have shown their frustration on the campaign’s website and has brought the issues to Kickstarter. The platform has only offered an apology without any hints of whether or not it will take any action against Fundora.
