Supporters Rally to Raise Funds on GoFundMe For Quadruplets After Mother’s Passing

Seeking to help her family push through a tragic situation, Arizona woman Nicole Todman has launched a GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign to raise $250,000 for the family of her cousin, 36-year-old Erica Morale, who gave birth to quadruplets before she passed away a few hours later.

Erica MoralesAccording to the Fox affiliate in Phoenix, Erica and her husband Carols did everything they could to have children. Todman’s sister, Christina, shared, “This is all they wanted, to have this family to make their family complete. It’s like that fairytale story.”

With the help of many doctors, Erica was finally able to conceive and gave birth to three girls and one boy at Banner Good Samaritan last Thursday (January 15th). Unfortunately, Erica passed away without getting a chance to hold her babies. Nicole stated, “She never got to hold them, she never got to see them. It is so hard to know she fought so hard for children. She will never get to brush their hair, hold their hand, watch them get married, none of that will ever happen for her.”

In an effort to help Carlos take care of the children, Nicole started the GoFundMe campaign. She wrote, “We are raising money to provide for four beautiful babies left behind after their mother passed away just hours after their birth. Any amount is appreciated. My best friend and her husband Carlos have tried for the last few years to have baby and with their doctor’s help, they were blessed with not one but four beautiful, but with that blessing came the most unimaginable tragedy, my best friend was lost.

“The expense of raising four children alone is quite daunting for any middle class family. Now with the loss of Erica’s income, [Carlos] will need all the help he can get. This is an extremely emotional time, Erica’s passing is traumatic and my goal is to help ease the financial worry as much as possible.”

Along with baby registry information, Nicole revealed that diaper giant, Huggies, has graciously given the family a one-year supply of diapers. She wrote, “Thank you Huggies from the bottom of our hearts this means so much to Carlos and Erica’s family.”

Since the GoFundMe campaign’s launch on Sunday (January 18th), over 3,600 supporters have rallied behind the family and have raised nearly $132,000.
