In response to the growing demand for real-time communications (RTC) anytime, anywhere, and from virtually any device, many communications service providers (CSPs) and enterprises are now offering browser-based WebRTC capabilities and services. The latest release of Oracle Communications WebRTC Session Controller provides the secure and reliable functionalities that users want — such as voice calling, video, and chat — within an iOS and Android client application for a seamless, device-independent customer experience, according to the company.

  • In addition, the new release enables secure and reliable RTC services by delivering GSMA’s Rich Communications Suite (RCS) capabilities through Oracle Communications WebRTC Session Controller APIs. This functionality allows CSPs to extend their RCS investments to devices that are WebRTC-capable.
