Indiegogo Launches Maker Challenge

Indiegogo got to take a trip to Washington, DC too – to recognize the revolution in creative types designing and making things most of us could never imagine.  Yes it was a bit of a crowdfunding love-in, as both platforms (along with a few others) have acted as a catalyst for the creative world.

Indiegogo, in celebration of the White House Maker Faire, has launched their very own Maker challenge. Starting immediately and running to July 16, 2104, crowdfunding campaigns running on Indiegogo may enter into the even by submitting their project to the partner page on Indiegogo.  Campaigns may be brand new or already in process.  Every qualifying campaign is in the running for some cool prize packages from sponsors Amazon an Autodesk so its definitely worth the effort.  There are already a handful on the page but one would expect many more to follow.

indiegogoMakers include technologists, designers, and artists who are working on campaigns that promote participatory learning and community engagement.  Your campaign should be live  and have it associated to the Maker Challenge Partner Page by July 16, 2014. Amazon and Autodesk will select and announce the campaigns receiving prize packages July 25.
