Game developer Broken Rules is currently crowdfunding on Indiegogo for their game Secrets of Rætikon. The campaign is flexibly funded and has 65 hours to go at the time of writing, having raised just over $10,000 on a $40,000 goal.
Recently a hacker compromised the group’s PayPal account and purchased $2,500 worth of goods, including a few Playstation 4 consoles. Of course, PayPal has measures in place to protect users from events such as this and Broken Rules should get all of the money back.
Broken Rules doesn’t expect to be able to catch the criminal and is skeptical of PayPal’s promise to recoup the funding. They plan on being 100% transparent with backers no matter what the outcome.
