Protos Eyewear, currently running a self crowdfunding campaign using CrowdHoster, has developed a WordPress widget which allows users to follow crowdfunding progress for their Kickstarter campaign on their web site. Protos’ current crowdfunding campaign is for their 3D printed custom glasses.
Protos created the wordpress widget that would allow them to show their funding progress on their own personal site and have now released the widget free for WordPress users. Much like all Kickstarter pages, the widget that is now live and available for download through wordpress allows bloggers and website owners to keep track of the number of backers, the amount pledged, and the total days remaining in a respective kickstarter campaign. This information is easily displayed on any wordpress website which works well to help promote any kickstarter campaign.
Protos anticipates launching a new crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter at some point in the future for their non-eyewear projects. Protos Eyewear’s project was declined on Kickstarter because Kickstarter does not allow any eyewear projects on their website.
